Yesterday we went out to Dickinson yard to catch the Morris Fork turn, but were told he had left earlier and was almost to Spring Street where he’d get on the branch proper. We raced up the highway, and sure enough, he was in Spring Street.
We caught him as he was swinging onto the branch past Armitage Furniture as shown above. Included in his consist was a Southern forty foot boxcar for Morris Fork Hardware and Farm Supply.
We took off after him driving along twisting, winding roads and caught up to him coming out of one of the two tunnels on the branch, then really starting to climb the grade past Hitop as seen below:
We then caught him still climbing in elevation and twisting around one of the twelve degree curves between Hitop and Morris Fork:
