Still in the hot dog days of summer here with temperatures in the low to mid-nineties, so not much going on outside with the layout. Without our usual monsoonal rains that come up from the south this time of year, it’s just too hot for much operating. Sure looking forward to fall!
With that being said, I am working on several projects inside. One being putting together materials needed to build a programming track. Just started on this however. The other project that’s ongoing is building the rest of the electric utility poles. I’ve painted the insulators with Southern green by Tru-Color, and I’m letting these dry as shown below. The poles themselves I’ll paint a brown/grey mixture using Vallejo paints, then paint the transformers grey before assembling everything.

Finally, I’m still reading and learning how to use the OperationsPro program by JMRI. More later…..
