Today on the Hitop we have a full Dickinson yard, and by full, I do mean full! The yard capacity is about 40 cars, and there are currently 35 in the yard. The yard is being set up for our first true operating session coming up.
In the meantime, some adjustments to CV’s 3 and 4 were made to GP7’s 5628 and 5675. Both are shown below, 5628 being tested in Dickinson yard, while 5675 was over in Spring Street:
The photo above right shows the maintenance base for 5675 and some of the weathering on the unit.
In the yard today were two ex-PRR X58A boxcars, both patched for PC, both shown below, with closeups showing more detail plus the different patch jobs themselves:
