Today on the Hitop…..

Today found the Nitro switcher, Alco 9806 being called up into Spring Street yard to pick up an empty boxcar from Armitage Furniture, plus a coal hopper that was previously bad-ordered, and take these down to Dickinson yard for forwarding. Below are the photos I took of this action:

  • 9806 runs caboose light headed for Spring Street
  • 9806 pulling the empty GM&O boxcar
  • An unusually empty Spring Street yard
